Our Strategic Deterrence & Missile Defense (SDMD) Mission Strategy and Advanced Capabilities (MSAC) organization is seeking a Deputy Capture Manager to support a high visibility program under the Missile Defense Mission Area. Reporting to the Capture Manager, the team member will support Down-select, Keep Sold, and Growth efforts and capture activities.
Responsibilities
- Working shoulder to shoulder with the Capture Manager, Program Team, Competitive Intelligence, and functional organizations to develop and execute strategies to support the down-select, keep sold, and growth.
- Supporting the overall program new business portfolio to achieve and exceed LRP goals.
- Leading the Fire Control portion of the capture.
- Supporting Win Plan milestones, including capture plan development, planning, and execution.
- Supporting proposal and ROM development and internal approvals in support of the capture, ensuring alignment with strategy, discriminating value propositions, and competitive bid approach.
- Creating presentations to optimally communicate campaign strategies to all levels of the organization, including Executive VPs, LOB VPs, and Functional Directors.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel domestically as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Industry-applicable B.A. or B.S. degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace and Defense.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively collaborate, drive change, and exhibited leadership skills.
- Win Plan basic knowledge as it relates to the capture process.
- Experience working with LM Decision Gate (EPP) process.
- Ability to use MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and other MS Office tools, with ability to create executive level presentations.
- Ability to interact confidently with peers, executives, both internal and external stakeholders.
- Active Secret security clearance required.
Desired Skills
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Prior experience supporting an LM Corporate Focus Program.
- Ability to think strategically and execute to long-range objectives and strategic plans by identifying internal and external strategic opportunities and issues that could affect growth and profitability.
- Knowledge of the US missile defense mission and enabling kill chain, US missile defense stakeholders, adjacent stakeholder landscape, core programs, and enabling technologies.
- Knowledge of Fire Control, related programs, and enabling technologies.
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with collaborative leadership skills to motivate and effectively work with a cross‑functional capture team.
Security Clearance Statement
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
Lockheed Martin considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Additional Compensation (Major Metropolitan Areas)
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $125,600 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
