Director of Finance, Data Center Infra & AI Modelling
Infinitek Limited
Job Description
Our client is a Data Center Infrastructure Developer:
We are recruiting on behalf of a Data Center Infrastructure Developer that is developing and delivering large-scale data center infrastructure to support the rapidly expanding needs of the artificial intelligence economy. The company operates at the intersection of finance, technology, energy and major project development, creating an unusually dynamic environment for finance professionals who want to see what happens after the financing closes.
The company is an AI-first organization. It expects its team to embrace emerging technologies, challenge traditional ways of working and use AI responsibly to improve the speed and quality of financial analysis and decision-making.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly-driven Director of Finance on behalf of the Data Center Infrastructure Developer to support the financing, development and execution of multiple large-scale infrastructure projects.
This is not a narrowly defined or passive finance role. The successful candidate will work across multiple projects and workstreams, proactively identifying where they can add value and taking ownership without waiting to be assigned every task.
The position offers a rare opportunity for someone with investment banking, project finance or infrastructure finance experience to gain direct exposure to what happens after a transaction closes—working alongside an accomplished leadership team to finance, develop and deliver projects of exceptional scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the financing, development and execution of multiple data center and infrastructure projects.
- Develop, maintain and enhance complex financial models covering project financing, capital structures, operating performance, cash flows, returns and scenario analysis.
- Use AI and other emerging technologies to improve modelling, analysis, reporting and decision-support processes.
- Apply appropriate validation, controls and professional judgment to AI-assisted outputs.
- Evaluate project economics, financing alternatives, capital requirements and investment returns.
- Support debt and equity financing activities, including lender and investor materials, due diligence and transaction execution.
- Translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
- Partner across development, construction, commercial, energy, accounting and operations teams.
- Monitor project performance against financing assumptions, budgets and business plans.
- Identify emerging risks, opportunities and areas requiring additional analysis.
- Proactively pursue additional responsibilities across active projects and workstreams.
- Help develop scalable finance processes, tools and reporting capabilities as the company continues to grow.
- Support other strategic and financial initiatives as business needs evolve.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure finance, corporate finance or a related field.
- Investment banking analyst training and experience with a highly regarded financial institution are strongly preferred.
- Experience developing and managing complex financial models.
- Exposure to data centers, power, energy, LNG or other capital-intensive infrastructure would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financing structures, financial statements, cash-flow analysis, valuation and investment returns.
- Genuine enthusiasm for using AI as a core professional tool, including within financial modelling and analysis.
- Ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated work while recognizing where human judgment remains essential.
- Highly assertive, proactive and comfortable operating with significant autonomy.
- Demonstrated appetite for supporting multiple projects and taking on responsibilities beyond a narrowly defined role.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where priorities may change quickly.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline.
What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate will quickly become a trusted partner to the CFO and wider leadership team. They will combine strong financial and modelling capabilities with curiosity, urgency and a genuine desire to become involved across the business.
They will not wait to be given work. They will actively seek opportunities to contribute, use AI intelligently to improve how the finance function operates and take ownership of important work across multiple projects.
Why Join a Data Center Infrastructure Developer?
This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to participate in one of the most significant infrastructure investment cycles in the market. The rapid expansion of AI is driving data center projects of extraordinary scale, but this development window will not remain open indefinitely.
For candidates coming from investment banking or advisory, the role provides something particularly valuable: the opportunity to move beyond transaction execution and gain firsthand experience financing, developing and delivering mega-projects from the inside.
