We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Operations with strong leadership skills and a results-driven mindset to oversee our New York operations and contribute to the continued growth and development of our restaurant portfolio.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a hospitality professional who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution, develop high-performing teams, and maintain exceptional standards of hospitality and service.
The OpportunityThe Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the operational performance and continued development of our New York restaurant portfolio, working closely with our Mexico-based corporate leadership team.
This position will serve as a key operational link between our New York restaurants and our corporate team in Mexico, ensuring that company strategy, operational standards, culture, and business priorities are effectively translated into the New York operation.
The ideal candidate is a hospitality leader who can think strategically, execute at the operational level, develop management teams, and remain actively engaged in the day-to-day restaurant operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Unit Operations
Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of our New York restaurant portfolio.
Partner closely with restaurant leadership to establish operational standards, priorities, and accountability.
Maintain a strong presence in the restaurants and during service, ensuring exceptional and consistent execution.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability, service standards, and guest satisfaction.
Ensure consistency in hospitality, service, culture, and operational execution across locations.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop restaurant management teams.
Develop General Managers and future hospitality leaders through coaching, accountability, and mentorship.
Build a culture centered around hospitality, teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Support recruiting, retention, performance management, and succession planning.
Financial & Operational Management
Monitor key restaurant performance indicators, including sales, labor costs, food and beverage costs, inventory, and operating expenses.
Partner with corporate leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
Analyze operational results and identify opportunities for improvement.
Implement and maintain systems that support profitability and operational consistency.
Understand and monitor P&L performance and key financial indicators across the portfolio.
Guest Experience
Champion exceptional hospitality and ensure that guest experience remains at the center of operational decisions.
Address complex guest and operational challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Maintain and elevate service standards across the portfolio.
Corporate Partnership
Serve as a key operational liaison between our New York restaurants and Mexico-based corporate leadership.
Communicate operational priorities, challenges, opportunities, and performance to senior leadership.
Translate corporate strategy and brand standards into effective New York operations.
Provide recommendations and insights based on local market realities.
Maintain clear, consistent, and effective communication between the New York and Mexico teams.
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in full-service restaurants or hospitality.
Proven experience overseeing multi-unit restaurant operations or complex hospitality operations.
Demonstrated experience leading or directly contributing to new restaurant openings and pre-opening operations.
Experience in fine dining, upscale hospitality, luxury hospitality, or similarly service-driven environments.
Strong understanding of restaurant operations, labor management, inventory, cost controls, and financial performance.
Experience developing and leading General Managers and management teams.
Practical knowledge of restaurant P&L and operating budgets.
Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership and a strong presence in the restaurants.
Professional fluency in both Spanish and English. Spanish will be an important working language for communication and collaboration with our Mexico-based corporate team.
Experience with Mexican, Latin American, or culturally driven fine dining concepts.
Experience working with international ownership, partners, or corporate teams.
Experience working directly with Mexico- or Latin America-based corporate leadership.
Experience leading multiple restaurant openings.
Experience with Toast, Resy, SevenRooms, OpenTable, or similar hospitality technology.
Experience operating restaurants in the New York market.
Base Salary: $95,000–$110,000 annually + performance-based bonus.
