Location:Minnesota (Hybrid – Remote & In Person)Job Type:Full-TimeCompensation:$190,000–$250,000 annuallyAbout The Role Knutson Construction is seeking aDirector, Power Market Sectorto lead the strategic growth and expansion of its power generation construction business. This executive leadership role is responsible for developing market strategy, driving business development, strengthening client relationships, and expanding Knutson’s presence in power generation projects, including co-generation, single-cycle, and combined-cycle facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute long-term growth strategies for the Power Market Sector.Lead business development, market expansion, and revenue growth initiatives.Build and maintain executive-level relationships with utilities, developers, EPC firms, and industry partners.Oversee project pipeline development, forecasting, and pursuit strategies.Collaborate with operations and preconstruction teams to standardize project delivery practices.Provide leadership and mentorship to business development, preconstruction, and operations staff.Promote Knutson’s Zero Incident Safety Culture across projects and partnerships.Represent Knutson at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvements, and long-term market expansion.Ensure exceptional client experiences that generate repeat business.Qualifications Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business, or a related field.10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial construction, EPC, utilities, or the power sector.Strong background in business development, strategic planning, and market expansion.Knowledge of construction operations, scheduling, preconstruction, MEP systems, risk management, and commissioning.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to travel up to 50% regionally and nationally.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree.Experience working with utility-scale power generation projects.Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA/NEC, and applicable construction regulations.Experience with CRM and business intelligence tools.BenefitsCompetitive salaryAnnual bonus and profit-sharing opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributionFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Paid Time OffPaid parental leave401(k) with company matchTuition reimbursementMentorship programEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee referral bonusFlex FridaysCompany-paid life and long-term disability insuranceApply Here#J-18808-Ljbffr
