Lead - GIS (Geospatial Services)Location: India (Hyderabad / Hybrid) Experience: 20+ Years Role OverviewMovate is seeking a senior GIS leader to build, scale, and lead its Geospatial Services practice. This role will own strategy, delivery, business growth, and P&L for GIS offerings, serving global enterprise customers across industries such as navigation, utilities, urban planning, telecom, infrastructure, and smart cities. Key ResponsibilitiesPractice & Business LeadershipOwn and scale the GIS / Geospatial Services practice including delivery, solutions, and growth strategyDrive P&L ownership, revenue growth, margin improvement, and operational excellenceDefine service offerings across GIS, 3D, LiDAR, Photogrammetry, BIM, and Digital MapsBuild strategic partnerships with technology vendors, hyperscalers, and data providersDelivery & OperationsLead end to end global delivery of large scale GIS programsOversee multi location delivery teams and ensure quality, SLA adherence, and customer satisfactionEstablish delivery frameworks, best practices, and governance modelsSales, Presales & Client EngagementWork closely with sales, presales, and bid teams to drive pipeline and conversionsSupport solutioning, RFP/RFI responses, and client presentationsAct as an executive sponsor for key client accountsTechnology & InnovationDrive innovation in Geospatial analytics, AI/ML integration, automation, and digital transformationStay ahead of market trends in mapping, navigation, smart cities, digital twins, and autonomous systemsPeople & Stakeholder ManagementBuild and mentor high performance leadership teamsEngage with CXOs, boards, and external stakeholdersDrive talent development and succession planning within the GIS practice

Required Experience & Skills20+ years of experience in GIS / Geospatial services, with significant leadership exposureStrong background in Geospatial data, GIS platforms, LiDAR, 3D mapping, Photogrammetry, and BIMProven experience in P&L management, business scaling, and global deliveryStrong understanding of enterprise GIS use cases across multiple verticalsDemonstrated success in working with large global clients and government agenciesExcellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
