Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioners to work across nurseries and early years settings in Southampton from September 2026.
We are looking for passionate, caring and enthusiastic practitioners who are committed to providing children with a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where they can learn, develop and thrive.
The Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5
- Planning and supporting engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS
- Observing, assessing and recording children's progress
- Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Building strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment
- Working closely with other practitioners and the wider nursery team
- Supporting children with additional needs where required
About You
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Have previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Are passionate about supporting children's development and wellbeing
- Are caring, patient and approachable
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Are reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
- Can build positive relationships with children and families
