As a Junior Technician, you'll be guided by experienced professionals while learning to:
1. Support Installation & Maintenance
- Assist in installing sensors and signaling equipment on new or existing railway lines.
- Help with component replacements, following strict procedures:
- Safely disconnect/connect systems (under supervision).
- Test new equipment functionality.
2. Learn Through Testing & Validation
- Collaborate with the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) team to:
- Verify sensor performance.
- Document results and assist in preparing technical reports (checklists, logs).
- Understand railway standards and compliance requirements.
3. Develop Technical Skills
- Read electrical schematics and work with wiring, industrial computers, and servers.
- Gain basic applied programming skills (e.g., scripts for automated testing).
- Learn diagnostic tools and railway-sector software.
4. Ensure Safety
- Follow railway safety protocols - precision is key!
- Learn to identify and report potential issues or risks.
What We're Looking For
- Recent degree or Technical Course in Electrotechnical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of:
- Electricity/electronics (schematic reading is a plus).
- IT (PC configuration, networking basics).
- Eagerness to learn: We'll teach you the rest!
- Availability for night shifts and travelling
- English proficiency
- Responsibility and attention to detail: Small mistakes can have big consequences.
Location: Lisbon (Paço de Arcos), onsite.
