Rotational Engineer – 50m Modern Classic Sailing Yacht

PMR Recruitment is currently searching for a Rotational Engineer to join a beautiful 50m Modern Classic Sailing Yacht operating on an exciting worldwide cruising programme.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a unique sailing yacht offering a 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off rotation while visiting some of the world's most spectacular destinations.

As this is a modern classic sailing yacht, every crew member plays an active role during sailing operations. The successful candidate will be expected to assist with hoisting the mainsail, handling lines, trimming sails, and supporting general deck operations whenever the yacht is under sail. For this reason, previous sailing yacht experience is essential.

We're looking for a proactive, hands‑on engineer who takes pride in maintaining all onboard engineering systems while working closely with the deck team to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel.

Requirements

• Minimum Y4 Engineer Certificate (or equivalent).
• Previous sailing yacht experience (essential).
• Valid STCW.
• Valid ENG1.
• Strong engineering knowledge with a positive, team-focused attitude.
• A genuine passion for sailing and working as part of a close-knit crew.

Package

• Salary: €6,000 per month.
• Rotation: 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off.
• Programme: Worldwide cruising.
