Engineering Draftsman

Position: Engineering DraftsmanOverview: The Engineering Draftsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for construction and manufacturing projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of engineering principles and standards. The draftsman will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure that designs are accurately translated into functional plans.

Key Responsibilities:Maintain drawings and revisions with efficient folder management, ensuring they are readily available upon request.Cross-verify drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and actual measurement sheets to ensure accuracy and consistency.Prepare "as-built" drawings or update existing drawings in coordination with site measurements.Develop plant layouts and equipment layouts as per project requirements.Possess a general understanding of civil engineering standards to prepare relevant drawings.Understand piping standards to accurately prepare drawings and BOQs.Comprehend steel structure standards for the preparation of drawings and BOQs.Utilize AutoCAD software for drafting and development of detailed drawings.Qualifications:Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and practices.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and drawings.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience:Previous experience in a drafting , min 4 to 5 years .Experience in construction or manufacturing industries is an advantage.
