Overview

The hospital features a comprehensive surgical services department that provides pre‑op and post‑op inpatient care for ENT and plastic surgery procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose: Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance and professional development.
Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
Responsibilities

- Participate in patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development activities.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver.
- Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, including patient preferences, barriers, values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
- Maintain a state of alertness and work safely as a safety‑sensitive position requires.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: Valid RN license.
- Experience: None required.
- Supervisor Experience: None required.
Preferred Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Experience: < 2 years in a relevant clinical setting (preferred).
