Overview Lakeman Financial is a small, established financial advisory firm in Jenison, Michigan. We are seeking a reliable, detail oriented Client Service Coordinator to support Asa Lakeman, CFP®, and help provide excellent service to clients. This is a full time, in person role in a small office environment.
Most days, it will be the advisor and the Client Service Coordinator working together in the office. This is a good fit for someone who is comfortable working independently, staying productive without constant oversight, and being trusted with meaningful responsibilities. This role is not a large corporate office or big team environment.
The right person will enjoy a quiet, professional office, direct communication, and having a clear impact on clients and the business. Pay Starting at $23.00 per hour, with higher pay considered for candidates with strong office, client service, banking, insurance, legal, medical office, or financial services experience. 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Monday through Friday schedule Responsibilities Client Service Provide friendly and professional service to clients Schedule and confirm client appointments Prepare and organize paperwork for client meetings Assist with tracking paperwork, signatures, transfers, distributions, and service requests Communicate with clients by phone and email in a professional manner Help make sure client requests are followed up on and completed Keep the advisor updated on open client items Administrative Support Maintain and update client records in the database Track open tasks, deadlines, and follow up items Screen and appropriately handle phone calls Process incoming mail, email, and correspondence Help keep the office organized, clean, and client ready Assist with meeting preparation and daily office operations Marketing and Client Appreciation Help create basic marketing materials Assist with client appreciation projects and events Prepare cards for client birthdays, holidays, and other occasions Help coordinate website, social media, or event related items when needed Other Office and Advisor Support Run occasional office related or advisor related errands, with mileage reimbursement provided when applicable Take pride in office presentation, including light upkeep of common areas, conference room, kitchen area, and workspace Help coordinate miscellaneous projects, vendor communication, or simple research tasks Perform other reasonable duties related to client service, office operations, and advisor support Ideal Candidate Reliable and consistent Highly organized Strong attention to detail Personable and comfortable interacting with clients Professional with confidential information Comfortable working in a small office environment Able to manage tasks and follow through without constant reminders Good written and verbal communication skills Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and basic office software Willing to learn financial services paperwork and systems Takes pride in keeping the office organized, clean, and professional looking Interested in a stable, long term role Preferred Experience Office administration Client service Banking Insurance Legal office Medical office Real estate office Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Prior office or client service experience preferred Successful completion of background checks and required documentation Ability to work full time in person Professional attitude and strong confidentiality standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
