Role Overview:The EA to MD role at Sequel Logistics is a central node that bridges high-level strategy with complex operational execution across the supply chain. Reporting to the Managing Director (MD), this position requires a unique blend of strategic advisory and "firefighting" capabilities to manage industry-specific nuances. The role will act as the MD's primary strategic partner, overseeing the "operating rhythm" of the business.
In the fast-paced logistics sector, you will ensure that the MD's vision for supply chain optimization, digital transformation, and market expansion is translated into actionable projects and measurable results. Responsibilities: Operational Liaison: Act as a bridge between the MD and department heads in warehousing, transportation, and procurement to ensure cross-functional alignment on delivery targets. KPI Governance: Design and monitor a "Logistics Scorecard" for the MD, tracking critical metrics.
Strategic Initiatives: Lead high-impact special projects, such as implementing a new TMS/WMS (Transportation/Warehouse Management System). Crisis & Risk Management: Serve as the first point of contact for resolving critical supply chain bottlenecks, operational disruptions, or regulatory compliance hurdles. Network & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with Tier-1 carriers, global shipping partners, and major enterprise clients on behalf of the MD.
Executive Preparation: Prepare the MD for board meetings and investor briefings with data-driven insights on logistics market trends and operational efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 8-12 years in senior operations or strategy roles; experience in third-party logistics (3PL) or global supply chains is highly desirable. Technical Acumen: Familiarity with industry-standard ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics tech stacks.
Crisis Resilience: Proven ability to maintain composure and make rapid, data-backed decisions during unexpected operational crises. Analytical Rigor: Ability to synthesize complex data into concise "decision memos" for the MD. Education: MBA or Master's in Supply Chain Management/Logistics preferred.
