The OpportunityOur Singapore Business Development (BD) team is seeking an analytical and self-driven individual to join our global corporate team. This role sits at the intersection of development planning, market intelligence, and commercial growth, and supports the company’s expansion through data-driven decision-making and stakeholder collaboration.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in development marketing and other cross-functional project execution, all within a dynamic, global hospitality business environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality strategy looking to grow within one of the world's leading lodging operators.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal & Deal SupportConduct feasibility studies combining research, site visits, and financial analysis to assess investment attractivenessRecommend optimal brand, positioning, and development strategy aligned with Ascott’s long-term growthAssist in the preparation for pitch deck proposals and business plan approval papers for new development opportunitiesMaintain and update templates and guidelines for proposals, pitch decks, and corporate presentationsDevelopment of case studies to strengthen pitch narratives
Competitor Intelligence & Market DataConduct in-depth research on new markets, macroeconomic trends, hotel supply/demand dynamics, and competitor performanceAnalyse business and deal performance data to generate insights for strategic decision-makingDevelop dashboards and reporting tools to track pipeline progress and performance vs. competitorsSupport financial analysis with market and performance inputs to strengthen deal underwritingSupport market research and innovation for conference and marketing events
ReportingCompile and prepare regular reporting packages on BD activities, pipeline status, and key metrics for senior management, regional teams, and HQAnalyze deal performance, win/loss trends, and conversion rates across the BD funnelPrepare dashboards and monthly/quarterly business development reports using Excel and/or BI toolsCollaborate with Finance and Strategy teams to align BD reporting with overall business performance metricsPrepare monthly reports and analytics to senior management and other stakeholders, where requiredSupport ad hoc reporting requests from internal stakeholders and to the Ascott Leadership Committee
Brand Strategy and Development Organise and/or support conference and/or events for brand growth and developmentPrepare analytics on brand data for decision making Collaborate and work with brand team in team projects and ad hoc requests to support growth, brand collaboration and partnershipsSupport ad hoc reporting requests from internal stakeholders and to the Ascott Leadership Committee
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Hospitality, Marketing or related fieldMin. 2-3 years' experience in Business Development, Real Estate, Corporate Strategy, Hospitality or Investment rolesStrong command of English; additional languages are a plusProficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation designExcellent analytical, research, and financial modelling skillsAble to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, global, fast-paced environmentCritical thinker with entrepreneurial mindset and attention to detailStrong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner
