About the Role
The Executive Director serves as the operational and cultural backbone of Marquis MD, responsible for leading all aspects of daily performance, growth, financial success, and service excellence across our concierge medical practices. This role partners closely with the Medical Director and executive leadership to deliver on Marquis MD's promise: a patient experience defined by accessibility, luxury, innovation, and whole‑person care.
The Executive Director ensures that every operational, financial, and clinical touchpoint functions in harmony, building a scalable foundation for growth while maintaining the exclusivity, trust, and personalized attention that define the Marquis MD brand.
As the senior operational leader, the Executive Director is accountable for five key pillars of success: Operational Excellence, Patient Experience, Financial Performance, Growth, and Culture.
Operational Leadership & Performance
- Oversee end‑to‑end operations at assigned Marquis MD location(s), ensuring excellence in patient care delivery, scheduling, workflow management, and administrative coordination.
- Implement, monitor, and continuously improve standardized processes, SOPs, and performance metrics to drive consistency, scalability, and accountability.
- Manage systems and partnerships including EHR, Salesforce CRM, and integrated technology platforms to optimize visibility, analytics, and care efficiency.
- Ensure operational readiness, resource allocation, and capacity planning to support sustainable growth.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and patient outcomes.
Concierge Patient Experience & Service Excellence
- Serve as the internal ambassador of the Marquis MD experience, ensuring every patient interaction reflects the organization’s commitment to personalized, luxury healthcare.
- Design, implement, and monitor concierge service standards that exceed patient expectations and reinforce brand differentiation.
- Oversee membership management, renewals, retention strategies, and engagement programs across all membership tiers.
- Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and feedback channels, implementing improvements to elevate the overall patient journey.
- Foster a culture of hospitality, responsiveness, discretion, and exceptional service throughout the organization.
- Ensure consistent delivery of a high‑touch, white‑glove experience for patients and families.
Growth & Strategic Development
- Drive membership growth, retention, and patient engagement initiatives while maintaining Marquis MD’s premium brand experience.
- Identify opportunities to expand market presence, enhance service offerings, and improve patient acquisition strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, community partners, physicians, wellness organizations, and key stakeholders.
- Partner with executive leadership to support business expansion, growth initiatives, and strategic planning efforts.
- Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to strengthen brand awareness and support membership growth objectives.
- Utilize market insights and performance data to identify opportunities for revenue diversification and long‑term growth.
Financial Leadership & Business Performance
- Partner with Finance and Shared Services to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and overall P&L performance.
- Assume accountability for operational and financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, membership retention, and capacity utilization.
- Lead financial operations including billing oversight, collections performance, and membership growth metrics.
- Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide leadership with real‑time visibility into financial health, operational performance, utilization, and growth trends.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and financial outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization while preserving service quality and patient satisfaction.
Leadership, Talent Development & Culture
- Lead and inspire a high‑performing multidisciplinary team across clinical, administrative, and support functions under Marquis MD’s philosophy of “One Team, One Standard.”
- Build a culture centered on hospitality, accountability, collaboration, integrity, and patient‑first excellence.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain top talent while fostering professional growth and leadership readiness.
- Coach department leaders to strengthen performance management, cross‑functional collaboration, and succession planning.
- Create leadership development pathways for high‑potential team members and future organizational leaders.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, engagement discussions, and development planning initiatives.
- Promote employee engagement, recognition, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Physician Partnership & Clinical Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Medical Director and physicians to ensure operations support clinical excellence and physician satisfaction.
- Foster strong relationships with providers, ensuring alignment between operational goals and clinical priorities.
- Support practice initiatives that improve quality outcomes, efficiency, and patient experience.
- Maintain a collaborative environment that promotes physician engagement and work‑life balance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, preferably within concierge medicine, private practice, executive health, membership‑based healthcare, or luxury service environments.
- Demonstrated success leading multi‑site healthcare operations with full financial and operational accountability.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, P&L performance, revenue growth, and operational metrics.
- Experience leveraging CRM, EHR/EMR, analytics platforms, and reporting tools to drive performance improvement and informed decision‑making.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with physicians, vendors, referral partners, and high‑net‑worth clientele.
- Track record of scaling operations while maintaining exceptional service quality, patient satisfaction, and organizational culture.
- Experience leading high‑performing teams in fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environments.
