Extrusion Team Leader

EXTRUSION TEAM LEADER

CMB Recruitment is working with a leading North Down manufacturing company, seeking an Extrusion Team Leader to join their team and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Department. This is a full-time permanent role, a 48-hour, 4 day week Monday Thursday, on a fortnightly rotating shift basis (Days 7.30am- 7.30pm- Nights 7.30pm- 7.30am).

THE ROLE

• To support the Production Supervisor in ensuring the Department runs efficiently, making best use of all available resources
• Lead by example in motivating the team to perform to the best of their abilities
• To maintain quality standards in accordance with customer expectations and relevant quality standards
• To identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
• To assist in the development and training of extrusion operators
• To assist in daily production planning/scheduling of production activities
• To carry out external training as and when required

THE PERSON

• At least 2 years team leader experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience in managing a team of Production Operators
• Experience/skill in creating and managing production schedules to ensure customer orders are met on time
• Computer literate particularly Excel and ERP system
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet tight production deadlines
• Lean manufacturing qualification helpful but not essential
