Fabrication Engineer

Role Summary Site fabrication engineer to oversee subsea structures construction and site engineering scope and to be based at Fabricator yard.• Location: Residential role based in Bintan or Batam, Indonesia.• Day to day reporting to Fabrication Site Manager• 6 day working week 10 hours per day however flexibility is expected on working additional days or hours where required to support the schedule• No formal rotations but acknowledge the need for ‘normal’ holidays arranged at the discretion to meet the project needs• Following mobilization, Site Fabrication Engineer will be the single point of contact for all fabrication and construction related issues Essential Responsibilities: Understand, implement and follow Health, Safety (HSE) regulations.Always promote one team concept and professionalism to the client.Familiarize with all equipment at site and project design specifications.Oversee and direct construction of project deliverables from start to ready for loadout.Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverablesOversee all onsite construction activities to monitor compliance with industrial, client and company standards and regulations.Coordinate with fabrication contractor for daily/weekly/monthly construction progress and site report to ensure compliance with project schedule.Coordinate with fabrication contractor to ensure construction 4 weeks lookahead, ensuring fabrication contractor have available materials, manpower and resource to perform work as scheduled.Work closely with the Subcontractor site team to ensure that activities run smoothly, coordinate sub-supplier and subcontractor site activitiesReview and coordinate with Site Quality Lead, Engineering and fabrication contractor for any site query, technical query emerging during construction phase.Plan to prevent issues and resolve any emerging issues.Analyze, manage and mitigate risks pertaining to fabrication, construction and testing scope.Consult and collaborate with client construction manager throughout fabrication and construction life cycle to ensure construction alignment. Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum 10 years relevant experience in Construction phases of Oil & Gas Subsea projects especially subsea structures fabrication projects.Experience in project construction managementProven experience in handling complex technical tasks in an interdisciplinary environment.Commercial and contractual awarenessGood communication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsExperience in a client facing roleSkilled in English and willingness to learn basic Indonesian languageProven capability of working in a matrix environmentTeam player, self-motivated and energetic individual.
