Job Description
The selected candidate will work for Stony Brook University's Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine as a full-time, patient-focused clinician in an ambulatory Patient Centered Medical Home setting that is collegial and team based. There are no inpatient requirements. The candidate will contribute to the teaching mission, research projects, and collaborate on innovative evidence-based patient care programs.
Employment Details
- Not a Tenure Track position.
- FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for overtime provisions.
- Anticipated start date: As soon as possible.
- The selected candidate must successfully clear a background investigation.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO (or foreign equivalent), DEA certification or eligibility.
- Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine.
- New York State licensed or eligible.
- Graduate of an accredited family medicine residency training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of primary care experience.
- Experience working in a patient-centered medical home environment.
- Interest in teaching residents and medical students.
