Field Service Technician

Company Description

Anton Paar established a new wholly‑owned subsidiary in Santiago de Chile starting in January 2026. Therefore, we are looking for someone to join our team as Field Service Technician.

Job Description

• Providing technical support to customers via telephone and email.
• Performing on‑site troubleshooting, service and repairs.
• Evaluating malfunctioning instruments and preparing estimates for the cost of repair.
• Performing factory calibrations (ISO 17025, if required).
• Provide on‑site training to the customers.
• Completing administrative tasks associated with the CRM Service module as to log all Support Ticket and Service Orders in the CRM Service.
• Taking responsibility for personal warehouse / stock.
• Forwarding sales opportunities to Sales Representatives when instruments need to be replaced.
• Attending all necessary Anton Paar service trainings for the relevant product lines.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and strong customer service skills are a must for this position.
• Direct experience in the analytical instruments field is a plus.
• This position requires a highly motivated individual that is capable of completing assigned tasks with little to no supervision.
• This position requires a technical degree in Electronics or Mechanics, Chemistry, Physics, or another technical discipline. Bachelor degree and/or engineering degree in the related areas are a plus.
• The ability to work with electronic schematics, test equipment, and tools for repairs is required.
• Preferred candidates will have at least three years’ experience in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining complex analytical instruments.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and passport.
• This position requires up to 75% travelling time.
