Field Services Engineer

We're Hiring | Field Service Engineer — Medical Devices

HMS Medical Systems (Chennai) — 30+ years manufacturing physiotherapy & rehabilitation medical devices. 40+ device models across electrotherapy, ultrasound, laser, traction, shockwave and diathermy. ISO 13485:2016 certified | CDSCO licensed manufacturer.

We're looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer who enjoys troubleshooting real electronics, not just swapping boards.

Role: Field Service Engineer

Location: Based in Porur, Chennai | Travel to customer sites (hospitals, clinics, physiotherapy centres)

Type: Full-time | Salary as per experience

What you'll do:

• Installation & commissioning of physiotherapy equipment at customer sites

• Diagnose and repair faults down to component level power supplies, control boards, transducers, applicators

• Preventive maintenance, calibration & performance verification

• Customer training & demonstration of equipment operation

• Service documentation such as service reports, spare parts tracking, complaint records (ISO 13485 environment)

• Coordinate with R&D and QA on recurring field issues

Who we're looking for:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech — ECE / EEE / Medical Electronics

• 1–3 years of field service experience in any electronics domain — medical devices, industrial equipment, UPS/power electronics, test & measurement, or similar

• Solid fundamentals: multimeter & oscilloscope usage, reading circuit diagrams, fault isolation

• Willingness to travel; two-wheeler licence preferred

• Good customer-facing communication — Tamil & English (Hindi a plus for outstation support)
