FP&A Transformation Contractor (£600–£800/day) Overview We are supporting a Boutique Consulting firm on a finance transformation programme and are seeking experienced FP&A contractors to join the delivery team. These roles will focus on driving improvements across core FP&A processes, supporting design and implementation activities within a complex, multi-entity Group environment. This is a functionally-led role , requiring strong FP&A expertise rather than purely technical/system-heavy backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities Support delivery of a finance transformation programme across FP&A processes Conduct current-state assessments , identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement Perform gap analysis and contribute to future-state design across key planning and reporting processes Facilitate and support workshops with senior finance stakeholders (VP / Director level) to gather requirements and define target operating models Produce clear workshop outputs , including meeting notes, requirements documentation, and design artefacts Support the development of target FP&A processes and operating models under supervision Operate independently within a fast-paced project environment, contributing to high-quality delivery Required Experience Minimum 7+ years’ experience in FP&A, Group Controlling, or finance transformation Background from either: Large, complex organisations, or Leading management consulting firms Demonstrated expertise across at least two of the following: Management reporting Forecasting and planning Strategic planning Capital planning Proven experience acting as an SME in planning and/or management reporting Strong track record of facilitating large-scale workshops for requirements gathering and future-state design Systems & Tools Working knowledge of leading CPM/EPM platforms , such as: OneStream (Priority) IBM TM1 / Planning Analytics Oracle HFM Comfortable working alongside technical teams, but with a clear functional focus Key Skills & Attributes Strong analytical rigour and problem-solving capability Structured communication with the ability to engage senior stakeholders credibly Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a broader programme team High level of organisation and documentation skills Additional Requirements Willingness to work in a face-to-face delivery model , including: Minimum 50% travel to mainland Europe (Vienna) Summary This is an excellent opportunity for experienced FP&A professionals with strong functional expertise to contribute to a high-impact finance transformation programme, working closely with senior stakeholders and delivering tangible process improvements.
