Founding Engineer (AI & Computational Design)

About the Role Zennah is building an AI-native platform for designers that turns visual references into production-ready 3D jewellery designs for professional manufacturers and designers. We’re looking for a Founding Engineer (AI & Computational Design) who will play a foundational role in shaping the technical architecture of the product. This is not a maintenance role; it’s an opportunity to build core systems from the ground up, with a strong focus on geometry, 3D generation, and manufacturability.

You will work closely with the founder to define how Zennah handles complex ornamental designs, multi-part compositions, geometric control, and intelligent generation, while ensuring that outputs are reliable, high-quality, and suitable for real-world manufacturing. This role carries significant ownership. Key Responsibilities Own and evolve the core technical architecture for AI-driven 3D generation and computational design systems.

Design and implement systems for geometry processing, multi-part composition, control, and manufacturability-aware generation. Build robust, production-grade pipelines that handle complex ornamental and culturally rich jewellery designs with high fidelity. Establish strong evaluation frameworks to measure and improve output quality consistently.

Collaborate closely with design and product to translate real user needs (especially from manufacturers) into technical solutions. Take full ownership of technical decisions, architecture, and long-term system quality. What We’re Looking For Strong first-principles thinking in geometry, computational design, and AI systems.

Deep hands-on experience with 3D modelling, parametric design, mesh processing, or modern 3D generation techniques (Three.js, SculptGL, or similar experience is highly relevant). Proven ability to architect and build complex, production-grade systems. Experience or strong interest in building systems that balance creative freedom with real-world constraints (e.g., manufacturability).

Leadership mindset — taking end-to-end responsibility. Genuine appreciation for design quality, craft, and detail. Nice to have: Experience working on early-stage products or in domains involving physical product design/manufacturing.
