What You'll Work On

You will contribute to testing and quality engineering initiatives across modern enterprise applications, APIs, and cloud-based data platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across backend applications and databases.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for system stability and performance.
• Work on backend services and business logic using Python and Java-based systems.
• Analyze and debug complex PostgreSQL queries, PL/pgSQL functions, and stored procedures.
• Support and maintain legacy applications as well as AWS cloud-native services.
• Collaborate with tech leads and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into implementation plans.
• Work on AWS services including Lambda, RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, API Gateway, and related cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and support Apache Airflow workflows, DAGs, and orchestration pipelines.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, deployment protocols, and production release standards.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, and infrastructure improvements.
• Perform unit testing, functional testing, and system integration activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence practices.
• You’ll work closely with senior engineers, architects, and product teams on systems operating at enterprise scale.

Core Skills We’re Looking For

Must Have

• 10+ years of backend/software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL, and PL/pgSQL.
• Experience writing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures.
• Strong production support and troubleshooting experience in live environments.
• Hands-on backend development experience using Python.
• Experience working with Java-based legacy systems.
• Strong AWS experience with services such as: EC2 , S3 , Lambda , RDS , IAM , API Gateway , Kinesis
• Experience with Apache Airflow (DAGs, scheduling, troubleshooting).
• Strong understanding of cloud and on-premise application architectures.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
