We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. This is a FULL_TIME, fully remote position responsible for maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of our IT environment. Key duties include: * Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and other critical IT infrastructure. * Providing timely and effective technical support to our staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues. * Managing system security, including implementing security protocols, monitoring for threats, and performing regular updates. * Overseeing data backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. * Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights across all systems. * Monitoring system performance and reliability to ensure optimal operation. * Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for IT processes, policies, and systems. * Collaborating with various departments to assess and address their technology needs.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Essential qualifications include: * Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or in a similar role. * Strong knowledge of system administration, including network management (LAN/WAN), databases, and patch management. * Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, such as Windows Server and Linux. * A solid understanding of IT security principles and data backup/recovery best practices. * Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. * Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable qualifications: * Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, MCSA). * Experience working within a non-profit organisation. * Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
