Job Title: General Assembly Manufacturing Engineer

Job SummaryThe General Assembly Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and optimizing general assembly processes for electric vehicle (EV) production. This role ensures efficient production flow, high product quality, cost control, and compliance with safety and manufacturing standards.The position supports new product introduction (NPI), mass production stability, and continuous improvement initiatives within the General Assembly area.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize general assembly manufacturing processes for EV production.Design production layouts, line balancing, and workflow improvements.Prepare and maintain work instructions (WI), SOPs, and process documentation.Support new model launches, pilot builds, and mass production ramp-up.Analyze production data to improve cycle time, reduce defects, and increase productivity.Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S).Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D.Identify automation opportunities and support implementation of new equipment or tooling.Troubleshoot process-related issues and provide technical solutions on the production floor.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in automotive or EV industry.Experience in general assembly process development and line setup.Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.Experience in NPI and production ramp-up activities.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process documentation.
