Job Description
Midea Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support our financial operations in Brazil. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and accounting for customer receivables, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform compliance checks on general ledger transactions to ensure adherence to internal control standards and external financial regulations.
- Support month-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
- Review and validate financial postings and entries to ensure correct accounting treatment and timeliness.
- Identify and resolve system anomalies and data inconsistencies in the ERP system (e.G., Oracle / ibos) that impact financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all GL-related activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial reviews and audits.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Tax, FP&A, IT, and other finance departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Communicate in English with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial issues, documentation, and system problems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in a shared service or multinational environment.
- Strong written and spoken English skills – required.
- Knowledge of Brazilian accounting and tax regulations is a plus.
- Proficient in ERP systems such as Oracle, or similar financial platforms.
- Familiarity with month-end closing, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
