Utah Tech Labs is looking for a skilled and versatile Graphic Designer & Video Editor to join our marketing and creative team.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in traditional graphic design and video editing, along with a good understanding of modern AI-based creative tools.
AI knowledge is an added capability for this role; not a replacement for design fundamentals, original thinking, manual execution, or professional editing skills.
You will work on creative requirements for B2C, B2B technology, products and service-based projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Create high-quality static creatives for Meta, , Google, and other digital advertising platforms
• Design social media posts, banners, landing-page visuals, presentations, thumbnails, illustrations, and campaign assets
• Edit short-form videos, promotional videos, product videos, UGC-style content, advertisements, and Video Sales Letters
• Create motion graphics, transitions, text animations, and other supporting visual elements
• Adapt creatives into multiple sizes and formats while maintaining consistency
• Work closely with marketing and content teams to understand campaign objectives and target audiences
• Translate briefs, scripts, concepts, and references into polished creative outputs
• Maintain organized project files and deliver work within agreed timelines
What We’re Looking For
• 2–5 years of professional experience in graphic design and video editing
• Strong traditional graphic design and video-editing skills
• A solid portfolio demonstrating original, manually created design and editing work
• Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, visual hierarchy, composition, branding, and storytelling
• Ability to create both professional B2B content and engaging consumer-facing campaign materials
• Ability to design for technology, SaaS, consulting, professional services, and other business-focused audiences
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong communication skills and the ability to understand feedback, discuss creative direction, and explain design decisions
• Ability to work comfortably and consistently during the U.S. Eastern Time Zone
• Strong attention to detail, ownership, reliability, and time-management skills
Brand Understanding Is Essential
The selected candidate will work across multiple brands, each with its own audience, visual language, communication style, and campaign objective.
You should be able to:
• Understand a brand’s identity, positioning, audience, tone, and design system
• Work within established brand guidelines, colour schemes, typography, and visual standards
• Identify when different brands require different creative approaches
• Maintain consistency across advertisements, videos, social media content, presentations, and other marketing materials
• Avoid using the same visual style for every brand or campaign
AI Tools and Modern Creative Workflows
The candidate should understand the current AI creative landscape and be comfortable using AI tools where they genuinely improve speed, ideation, production quality, or creative possibilities.
Experience with tools such as the following will be valuable:
• HeyGen
• OpenArt
• Higgsfield
• Runway
• Midjourney
• Adobe Firefly
• Canva AI
• Other emerging image, video, animation, avatar, and creative-production tools
You are not expected to create everything using AI.
You should know when to use traditional design and editing methods, when AI can support the process, and how to refine AI-generated outputs into professional, brand-appropriate creative materials.
The final output must always demonstrate strong creative judgment, originality, brand understanding, and attention to detail.
Preferred Software Skills
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adobe After Effects
• Figma
• Canva
