REPA Department applies to receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology, including design, development, integration, production support, and lifecycle support of Raytheon products. The Electrical Engineer role focuses on digital/analog hardware and subsystem design for radar receiver, exciter, and transmitter subsystems. The candidate will design mixed signal hardware, collaborate with systems, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers, perform design trades, requirements flow down, electrical analysis, test plans, and deliver working hardware meeting program requirements.
Technical support during transition to production and ongoing production support are expected. Leadership skills including cost and schedule management and proposal/presentation experience are desirable.
What You Will Do
- Circuit and sub-system architecture, design, modeling, simulation, and verification.
- Integration and test at component, CCA, and subsystem levels.
- Transition to production and technical support to manufacturing and test engineers.
- Occasional travel to supplier, integration, and customer sites may be required.
- Opportunities to manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility.
- This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site & based in either Tewksbury or Marlborough, MA, with travel between multiple MA sites anticipated.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Combined experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Digital Design (Requirements development through Build and Test)
- RF/Analog Design (Requirements development through Build and Test)
- Production testing and troubleshooting circuits
- Experience with design simulation tools (e.g., HyperLynx, LTSpice) and analytical tools (e.g., Matlab)
- Experience with design development tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics Xpedition schematic capture and layout)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience interfacing and testing with Digital to Analog Converters (D/A) and Analog to Digital Converters (A/D).
- Experience with digital high-speed interfaces such as JESD204B, Memory (DDR3, DDR4), SERDES, 10G+ Ethernet, Fiber Channel.
- Background in FPGA hardware inference designs including SERDES, LVDS chip-to-chip and board-to-board.
- Understanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from the system to the component level.
- Knowledge of cost estimating, budget and schedule management.
- Experience in a laboratory environment using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, phase noise analyzer (PNA), and spectrum analyzer to test and verify digital and mixed signal circuits and systems.
- Experience in a production environment.
- Experience in technical writing, proposal writing, and oral presentations.
- Active / Existing Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Salary range: 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The range is a good faith estimate for all experience levels. RTX uses multiple factors to extend offers, including role, responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
