Executive Director/VP, Head of Commercial – Alzheimer’s Asset (U.S.)
A global, publicly traded pharmaceutical organization with a diversified portfolio spanning innovative medicines, generics/biosimilars, and medical technologies. Headquartered internationally with an expanding U.S. presence, the company is building capabilities across key therapeutic areas, including oncology and central nervous system (CNS) disorders. With multiple upcoming launches and a growing pipeline, the organization is investing in scaling its U.S. commercial footprint.
This role serves as the U.S. Head of Commercial for a late-stage Alzheimer’s asset and functions as the commercial lead for the program. The position carries end-to-end responsibility for commercialization strategy and will play a critical role in preparing the organization for a potential launch.
It is a highly visible, build-from-scratch opportunity with significant autonomy, requiring close collaboration across global and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of the U.S. commercialization strategy, including launch planning, forecasting, and patient journey mapping
- Define and execute market access strategy, including pricing, reimbursement, and payer engagement
- Build brand strategy and positioning, including disease education and competitive differentiation
- Partner cross-functionally with clinical, regulatory, medical affairs, and global teams to inform development and launch decisions
- Oversee external partners and agencies supporting marketing, access, and field execution
- Design future go-to-market and field strategy, with flexibility to build or outsource capabilities
Qualifications
- 15+ years of biopharma commercial experience with significant leadership responsibility
- Deep expertise in market access, commercialization strategy, or product launch execution
- Experience in Alzheimer’s disease, CNS, or other complex specialty markets strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success in pre-launch or early commercialization environments
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders
- Proven track record operating effectively in lean, fast-paced, and ambiguous settings
