Orbis Group
Job Description
We're partnering with a global hedge fund to appoint a Head of Cyber Security to lead and evolve its security function. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands the unique cyber security challenges of a trading environment, from protecting proprietary trading systems and intellectual property to securing modern engineering platforms and AI‑enabled technologies. You’ll work directly with senior leadership while remaining close to engineering, shaping security strategy and driving technical delivery across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include: Leading the cyber security function. Defining and executing the firm’s cyber security strategy. Partnering with engineering to embed security into software development and infrastructure.
Driving AI security and governance across the organisation. Protecting trading systems, sensitive market data and intellectual property. Leading incident response, threat management and security engineering initiatives.
Managing and mentoring a small team of security professionals. Requirements: Proven experience leading cyber security within a trading firm, investment bank, hedge fund, market maker or electronic trading environment. Strong hands‑on background across security engineering, cloud security and application security.
Experience working closely with engineering teams in fast‑paced, technology‑driven organisations. Good understanding of AI security, secure software development and modern cloud environments. Comfortable operating at both executive and technical levels.
This is an opportunity to shape the security strategy of a technology‑driven trading business while remaining hands‑on and working directly with senior leadership. #J-18808-Ljbffr
