Your new role
As Health & Safety Officer, you will support the Health & Safety Manager in the delivery and continuous improvement of HSEQ systems across all projects. This is a varied and hands-on role within a fast-paced construction environment, requiring both initiative and strong collaboration with operational teams.
Key responsibilities will include:Supporting the implementation and development of HSEQ systems across the businessAssisting with the generation and maintenance of compliance and quality documentationSupporting the reporting, investigation and documentation of incidents, near misses and non-conformancesCoordinating and monitoring health & safety training and competency requirementsUndertaking site inspections and audits, and supporting the preparation and review of RAMSAssisting with internal audits and maintaining ISO management systemsMonitoring compliance and ensuring health & safety standards are consistently appliedWorking closely with site and operational teams to promote a strong safety cultureSupporting the delivery of health & safety initiatives and campaigns
This role will involve travel across Northern Ireland.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you should have:NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification)Experience within a construction, engineering or similar environment in a H&S roleUnderstanding of safe systems of work and construction-related legislationExperience supporting or working within ISO-accredited management systemsKnowledge of quality assurance processes within constructionFull UK driving licence (essential)You will also demonstrate:
