Overview
Health & Safety Analyst / Sr Analyst – Location: Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada. Department: Health, Safety and Environment. The role supports the Health & Safety function and ensures that the HESA management system is implemented as defined by company requirements, procedures and applicable legal regulations at all sites.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the systematic identification, assessment and control of hazards and risks.
- Support the implementation of the Company HESA procedures, ensuring they are properly issued, implemented and updated; prepare periodic reports.
- Analyze monitoring results, statistics, trends, action plans, and related data.
- Participate in and support the development of HESA training.
- Participate in the company HESA audit program.
- Participate in HESA committees’ meetings.
- Support clients and other interested parties by analyzing their requirements and implementing changes when needed.
- Ensure proper use of company IT tools and their application.
- Analyze, interpret and recommend actions for more complex topics.
- Interact with internal and/or external contacts with a higher level of autonomy.
- Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Protect facilities, equipment and other physical resources from damage, theft or misuse within the area of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related engineering discipline.
- CRSP, CSP or CIH certifications are a strong asset.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role or in related tasks.
- Strong understanding of Canadian manufacturing safety standards and local safety legislation.
- Experience working in a steel mill or metal manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Office) is an asset.
Schedule & Working Conditions
- 8-hour days, with flexibility based on business needs.
- Work is performed in a steel manufacturing mill.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $69,000.00 – $114,000.00 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on candidate experience, education, skills and qualifications, and internal equity and market considerations.
