The Role The Senior Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer is responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and efficient engineering design solutions for rotating equipment, supporting project objectives and contributing to Worley’s commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed engineering and design of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and packages in line with project specifications. Select appropriate engineering methods, tools, and procedures in compliance with international codes, client standards, and Worley processes.
Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables within project schedule, scope, and budget. Review and optimize designs to improve performance, reliability, and operability. Coordinate with vendors, licensors, and third parties for technical clarifications, bid evaluations, and package engineering activities.
Act as Package Engineer for assigned equipment, managing design, procurement, inspection, and manufacturing activities. Participate in inspection, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities as required. Ensure proper integration and coordination across disciplines and project interfaces.
Apply lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives across projects. Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers within the team. Support Discipline Lead activities or act as Lead for assigned scope when required.
Technical Skills Rotating equipment: pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers Detailed engineering & design calculations Engineering tools and software (., sizing, datasheets, simulations) Vendor document review and package engineering Inspection, testing, and commissioning support Systems engineering and interface management Knowledge of international standards (API, ASME, ISO, Focus on reliability, safety, and operability Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Planning and execution Stakeholder coordination Quality and safety mindset Ability to lead small teams / assigned scopes Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Experience 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas / EPC / Engineering Design projects. Hands-on experience in rotating equipment design and package engineering.
