Kama Bistro is a modern, upscale Indian bistro offering a unique dining experience with elevated Indian cuisine, craft cocktails, and a curated selection of wines. We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Hosts.

Job Summary

As a Host at Kama Bistro, you will be be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their experience by offering a warm welcome, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating and flow throughout the restaurant. You will work closely with all FOH departments to ensure a seamless flow of service while upholding the restaurant's standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow steps of service to provide a quality guest dining experience
• Maintain the reservation book during a shift to ensure the proper flow of service
• Ensure a professional and friendly communication style with all guests during service, on the phone, or during email communication
• Consistently check on and communicate menu counts and wait times
• Maintain an organized and inviting host stand and coat check area
• Ring all to-go food and beverage items and properly handle payments with 100% accuracy
• Proactively maintain and update guest notes in the restaurant’s reservation software
• Always follow proper sanitation practices
• Responsible for completing all opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures in a timely manner

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous host experience in a full-service restaurant preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to go above and beyond for guests. 
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, team-oriented attitude with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
