Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator performs administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Human Resources department.
Position Details:
- Entry Level
- Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)
- Pay: $23–$25 per hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to HR and employment-related inquiries, interpret and explain HR policies, and assist in resolving employee relations issues while maintaining confidentiality.
- Process internal documentation and update the HRIS system for employee changes, including promotions and terminations.
- Generate official documents such as offer letters, corrective actions, and employee change forms.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee personnel files.
- Monitor attendance policy compliance, follow up with employees, and issue corrective actions as needed.
- Assist with employee investigations, terminations, and related documentation.
- Create and distribute internal communications, including memos and newsletters.
- Prepare and maintain various HR reports.
- Support employee accommodations and leave of absence processes, including documentation, tracking return-to-work dates, and follow-ups.
- Process benefit-qualifying events and respond to employee benefit inquiries.
- Assist with employee terminations and exit documentation.
- Support HR audits, including I-9 and benefits audits.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies.
- Support open enrollment processes, including employee communication and HRIS updates.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Assist with HR projects such as handbook updates, policy research, and company events.
- Track and document required training, including safety, anti-harassment, and workplace violence training.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities, including new hire orientation.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Perform general administrative HR duties and other tasks as assigned.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn HRIS and talent management systems quickly (ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus)
