We're looking for a Human Resources Manager in a growing organization.Our client is a dynamic, entrepreneurial business based in Surrey, BC that is experiencing significant growth and investing in its people, processes, and future. This is a newly established role, created to support the organization's continued expansion. The environment is fast-paced and evolving, with many opportunities to introduce structure, improve processes, and build best practices.The new Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the human resources function while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and supporting organizational growth.
The ideal candidate will thrive in an organization that is still developing its HR infrastructure, be comfortable navigating ambiguity, and enjoy creating order in environments that are not yet fully refined.Human Resources Manager responsibilities:Build and enhance the HR function, including policies, programs, and procedures from the ground upLead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and talent acquisition initiativesProvide guidance and recommendations to leadership on HR strategy, employee relations, and organizational developmentEstablish structure and consistency across HR processes and employee programsManage performance management processes, employee relations matters, and workplace investigations as requiredEnsure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practicesDevelop employee engagement, retention, and culture initiativesOversee compensation, benefits administration, HR documentation, and employee recordsThe successful candidate has:8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with a strong Generalist background is a mustPost-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CPHR designation is considered an assetExperience working as the sole HR professional within an organizationExperience building HR functions in a startup, entrepreneurial, or rapidly growing organization from the ground upExperience working directly with entrepreneurs or owner-led businessesStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to speak up, provide recommendations, and influence decision-makingThe ability to adapt, prioritize, and remain effective in an environment where processes and structures are still being developedCompensation and benefits:The discussed salary range is $85,000 – $100,000 depending on experienceCandidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be consideredHybrid work could be considered after an extended period working in-office and becoming familiar with the business, culture, and operationsCandidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
