The Hydrology / Hydraulics Engineer will lead and support the planning, analysis, and delivery of water resource projects focused on sustainable and efficient water management solutions. This role involves hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, system design, regulatory coordination, and close collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to evaluate water flow, quality, and availability.Design and analyze water resource systems including stormwater management, flood control, and water supply systems.Develop water resource management plans that align with regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting schedules and quality standards.Support project planning, budgeting, and execution efforts.Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in civil engineeringMaster’s degree in water resources with studies in hydrology and hydraulics, preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.ExperienceAt least four (4) years design experience required. Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCADExperience with water resources software such as: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3DKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).Strong foundation in hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, and environmental regulations.Ability to plan, organize, and support projects from concept through completion.Knowledge of local, state, and federal water resource regulations.Ability to support and guide team members while fostering collaboration and innovation.
