IAM Team Lead
La Fosse
Amsterdam, Netherlands Full Time Operations Jobs Netherlands
Job Description
You'll lead the team responsible for how every employee, contractor, partner or AI agent gets secure, frictionless access to the tools they need. This is a people-leadership role first: you'll set direction for ICAM, build and develop a high-performing team, and make sure their work lands where it matters most. You'll stay close enough to the technology to make sound architectural calls and unblock your engineers but your primary job is multiplying the team's impact, not being the deepest hands‑on expert in the room.
What you’ll do
- Own the ICAM vision and turn it into a clear, prioritised roadmap your team can execute against.
- Lead IAM engineers - setting clear expectations, managing performance (report to reporting managers) and giving regular coaching and candid feedback.
- Allocate people and effort deliberately: match work to strengths, protect focus, remove blockers, and make the trade‑off calls on what gets done and what waits.
- Run the team's projects to predictable outcomes - managing scope, dependencies, and stakeholders across security, IT, and engineering.
- Partner with your engineers on architecture and tough technical decisions, guiding the design of scalable, automated identity services rather than owning the keyboard.
- Represent ICAM to leadership and partner teams: communicate progress, risks, and resourcing needs clearly.
- Keep the team's work aligned to industry standards (ISO / CIS / NIST) and our security and compliance obligations.
What you’ll bring
- 7+ years in IT and security, including 3+ years managing or leading technical teams.
- A track record of developing engineers and building teams that deliver
- Familiarity with managing non-human and agentic identities in complex environments.
- Strong working knowledge of modern identity and access concepts: Cloud identities, Zero Trust architecture, PAM, ABAC/RBAC, and Infrastructure as Code - enough to lead the conversation and judge the work, not necessarily to implement every piece.
- Solid grasp of the technical and business implications of ISO / CIS / NIST controls.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- CISSP, CISM, ISSAP, or other industry certifications..
- Hands‑on background with the major identity platforms.
