Maintenance Technician / Electrician
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and performance of production machinery and related systems. Strong communication skills are essential. Responsibilities include general industrial electrician work, maintaining manufacturing machines, support equipment, electrical and preventative maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience
To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems including 24v, 120v, 208v, 277v & 480v.
- Maintenance and electrical experience
- General mechanical aptitude
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, safety protocols, and technical manuals.
- Forklift certification (preferred)
- NFPA 70E certification (a plus)
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform electrical duties which can include new machine install and running conduit and wiring.
- Execute timely and efficient machine repairs
- Maintain clean and organized shop areas, inventory, tools, and supplies
- Able to work with tools, pneumatics, plumbing, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Uphold 5S principles to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Support mechanical system maintenance and troubleshooting
- Comply with company safety and HESS policies
- Assist with facility maintenance duties, perform other related duties as assigned
Physical Demands
Employees must be able to:
- Stand, kneel, stoop, and bend for extended periods (up to 3 hours per 10-hour shift)
- Lift up to 25 pounds from floor to chest height
- Reach over and around equipment as needed
- Raise hands above shoulder height repeatedly
- Safely use ladders

The work is primarily performed in a typical manufacturing environment. Wear safety attire or protective gear, when posted. may be exposed to distracting noise levels, may work within a few feet of other workers. For the most part, ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical office environment. Can be exposed to heat, cold and smells.
