Reporting to the Director of Labour Relations, you will provide crucial conciliation services to both public and private sector employers. In this specialist position, you'll analyze bargaining information, mediate disputes, and chair conciliation meetings. Your work encompasses facilitating annual negotiations under the Fishing Industry Collective Bargaining Act, ensuring timely agreements for fisheries, and strengthening labour-management relations across industries.
Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate conciliation meetings and dispute resolution • Support collective bargaining for fish price negotiations • Conduct training in traditional and interest-based negotiations • Assist in drafting labour policy and legislation • Prepare reports and materials for senior management
Requirements: • Degree in Business, Employee Relations, or related field • Knowledge of labour legislation and collective bargaining • Experience in mediation or conciliation • Skills in training and facilitation • Ability to travel across Newfoundland and Labrador
