The role in the Valencia office involves supporting the software development lifecycle by analyzing and implementing business logic within a large-scale cloud microservices ecosystem, adhering to best practices and standards.

Duties and responsibilities

- Develop simulation models for analyzing processes and layouts using discrete event simulation software and programming.
- Develop software/models using programming languages such as C and C++.
- Conduct debugging, validation, verification, and output analysis of simulation models.
- Document modeling assumptions, process flows, results, and issue reports.
- Develop emulation models connecting to real-world control systems such as Terminal Operating System (TOS) used in marine terminal environments.
- Collect and analyze data as model inputs.
- Perform numerical and statistical analysis of various operation processes.
- Interface with technicians, engineers, and project managers during data gathering, model development, analysis, reporting, and presentation.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; required.
Relevant certifications (Azure, AWS, Kubernetes) are a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS also acceptable).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes – AKS/EKS/GKE).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or similar).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) is a plus.

Physical requirements
Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel may be required occasionally.
