Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Description

We are a growing firm, looking for an Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team. Specifically, we are looking for someone who has 3+ years of experience, with previous deposition and premises liability experience.

Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience
• 2+ years of insurance defense experience
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in Connecticut

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases, from initial claim evaluation to final resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal and factual research, and develop effective defense strategies for clients.
• Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs to support defense strategies.
• Handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for these proceedings.
