POSITION OVERVIEWThe Integrated Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing engagement and social media strategies across all platforms and channels to increase awareness of the organization's mission and activities and to mobilize table partners. The position serves as the primary contact for communication related to general program information, activities and table partnerships. Reporting directly to the Communications Director, the Integrated Communications Manager serves as a liaison between the Comms team and external stakeholders, cultivating relationships and providing essential creative and educational support to staff, table partners and other stakeholders.
Primary areas of responsibility include:Assist and support the annual overall strategic communications planStaff and Campaign marketing and communications supportSocial media strategy and executionWebsite content planning and executionContent creation and disseminationEvent technical support and logistics
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Integrated Communications Manager reports to the Communications Director and is responsible for the following:
ENGAGEMENT & SUPPORT Develop and implement a comprehensive engagement and social media strategy to increase awareness of ProGeorgia and campaign-branded activities.Cultivate relationships with journalist, media outlets, and manages all external communication on digital outletsCreate a process for Strategic programming and communication requests for staff, partners and workgroups.Ensure alignment of brand and strategyCheck and respond to communications inquiries sent to ProGeorgia Serve as liaison for GoVoteGA, GA Redistricting Alliance and all external and public facing sites and update websites as neededSupport GOVOTEGA and GA Redistricting Alliance in the planning and execution of events that support the work of the organizationCoordinate and participate in events, campaigns and other engagement activities (as needed) to promote the organization's missionSupport WorkGroups in the planning and hosting of events for the organizationRecommend communications resources and tools for table partnersParticipate in in-person events, campaigns, meetings or other engagement activitiesCollaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency of messaging across all channelsWork with external partners and influencers to amplify the organization's message to reach new audiencesWork with contractors to create and design collateral and support material for external audiencesSOCIAL MEDIADesign and implement social media strategy to align with organizational goalsManage and grow the organization's social media presence for all profiles, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTubePerform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferencesMonitor SEO and web traffic metrics; set specific objectives and report on ROICreate and maintain content calendar ensuring a steady cadence of social media activityCreate and curate content for social media channels and websitePost, share and comment on posts by table partners and stakeholdersUse social media to amplify the organization’s work and that of table partnersMonitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and reviews in a timely mannerManages domain acquisitive, investigative research, and produces rapid response content to support communication strategy.Stay current on social media trends and emerging platforms, and make recommendations to the teamsTrack and analyze social media metrics and provide regular reports on performance and engagement
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED3 - 5 years of experience in graphic design, social media marketing or content developmentBS degree in Marketing or a relevant field preferredPrior experience working with nonprofits or campaigns is a plusExperience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva or equivalent digital media editing toolsFamiliarity with web design platforms (Squarespace a plus)Proficient knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics, including managementtools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Later).Excellent copywriting skillsKnowledge of online marketing channelsExcellent communication skillsAnalytical and multitasking skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
LOCATION The position is remote and must be located in Atlanta, GA, or surrounding areas
REPORT TO: Communications Director
COMPENSATION: Competitive salary up to $65,000 based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
