Integrations Engineer
VONQ
Job Description
Job Description
Are you ready to take the next step in your development career and help build the vital connections that power our platform?
As an Integrations Developer, you will play a hands-on role in connecting our core platform with a massive global network of partners. You’ll help build and maintain smart, scalable integrations with systems like job boards, social media platforms, CRM systems, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Working closely with experienced medior and senior developers, you will dive deep into complex APIs, troubleshoot technical bottlenecks, and help shape the technical backbone of our platform.
In this role, we want you to grow and thrive. You will take full ownership of your projects—from technical design to implementation—while managing communication with external partners to align on integration specs. As you level up, you’ll contribute to process and product improvements and make independent technical decisions that have real, lasting impact.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Taking full ownership of integration projects, guiding them all the way from technical design to final implementation.
- Building and maintaining smart, scalable integrations with job boards, social media platforms, CRM systems, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Managing technical communication with external partners to align on integration specifications and coordinate testing.
- Collaborating closely with experienced medior and senior developers to learn advanced architectural patterns, participate in code reviews, and level up your skills.
- Proactively contributing to process and product improvements and making independent technical decisions as you grow in the role.
Requirements
- PHP & MySQL: You have around 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience with PHP and MySQL. You are comfortable writing clean, efficient queries, structuring databases, and managing core back-end logic independently.
- APIs & Integrations: Experience with building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs, as well as handling OAuth authentication flows. If you already have some experience with GraphQL, that is a big advantage.
- Framework Experience: You have working experience with modern MVC frameworks, preferably at least a year with Symfony. You are ready to apply this knowledge to a domain-driven environment.
- Education & Mindset: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. The field of study matters less to us than your analytical mindset and your ability to figure things out on your own.
- Back-end Focus: Solid back-end development skills with a genuine interest in technical integrations. Some front-end knowledge is welcome but not required.
- Growth Mindset: A passion for growth and a desire to level up your skills. You are motivated to take on more responsibility and learn from the experienced developers in the team.
- Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently while remaining a reliable team player.
- Language: Comfortable communicating in both Dutch and English, especially when aligning with external partners.
Note: Applicants who want to work fully remote or do not meet the language requirements will not qualify for this role.
