Interim Legal Counsel - Part Time, Remote (Italian Qualified)

Job Description

Global retail and manufacturing business is looking for an Interim Legal Counsel as a lead role for their operations in Italy on a part time, 3 days/week basis starting in September.

• 3 month+ contract. Potential to extend / go permanent
\n
• Remote working from the UK, Europe or based out of Italy HQ (near Verona)
\n
• Reporting to Chief Legal Officer
\n
• Must be qualified in Italy, fluent also in English
\n

This is a hands-on operational role supporting the local business, working closely with senior stakeholders and being a trusted legal advisor to the team, as part of Group Legal.

Responsibilities will include:

\n
• commercial contract drafting, review and negotiation
\n
• real estate matters including lease negotiations
\n
• managing franchise arrangements
\n
• litigation and dispute management
\n
• advising on regulatory compliance
\n
• engaging external counsel when required
\n

You will be ideally:

\n
• 8+ years qualified (Italy)
\n
• previous experience as a legal counsel, in-house within a similar environment
\n
• strong technical skills coupled with ability to work effectively with senior management
\n
