OAL is looking for an ambitious Internal Sales Executive to support the growth of our automation and robotics business within the UK food manufacturing sector. This is an opportunity to build a long‑term career in technical B2B sales within a growing and forward‑thinking business. You will work closely with experienced sales professionals, develop your commercial skills, and gain exposure to the full sales cycle within a specialist and evolving industry.

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, motivated to learn, and prepared to put the work into developing a successful sales career. This is not a heavily scripted call centre role.
You will be trusted to think for yourself, build genuine relationships, and learn how complex B2B sales really works. What you will be doing Prospecting and outreach Generate new business opportunities through outbound activity including calls, emails, and LinkedIn engagement. Identify and connect with potential customers across the food manufacturing sector.
Pipeline management Keep your pipeline organised and up to date within the CRM system. Follow up consistently and ensure opportunities continue moving through the sales process. Sales support Work closely with the wider commercial team to qualify leads, book meetings, prepare information, and support opportunities through the customer journey.
Events and networking Attend industry exhibitions, conferences, and networking events to meet potential customers, build relationships, and generate new opportunities. Market insight Share feedback and insight from customer conversations to help shape sales and marketing activity. Your input will directly contribute to how we approach the market.
What we are looking for Early sales experience Around two to three years' experience within a customer‑facing or sales role. You understand the basics of building relationships, handling conversations, and maintaining activity levels. Resilience and motivation Comfortable with rejection and able to maintain momentum within a role involving regular outbound activity and longer sales cycles.
Strong communication skills Able to communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders both verbally and in writing. Organisation and accountability Able to manage your own workload, maintain accurate records, and keep opportunities progressing through the pipeline. CRM and sales tools experience Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools to track activity and manage leads.
Full UK driving licence Required for attending industry events and customer visits. Why join OAL?
