Job Description
Position Title: International Sales Manager
Take ownership of international growth for an established and rapidly expanding consumer products brand with strong market demand and significant earning potential. This role is responsible for developing new distributor partnerships, expanding sales across Latin America and Southeast Asia, managing strategic international accounts, and driving revenue growth in key global markets. You'll have the autonomy to build your territory, the support of experienced internal operations and regulatory teams, and an uncapped commission structure that rewards performance.
We're looking for an entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives in an autonomous environment, has an established international network, and knows how to develop new business without relying on company-generated leads.
Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000 base salary DOE, plus 2% commission on distributor revenue, +1.5% on ecommerce
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand international sales across Latin America and Southeast Asia through distributor, importer, wholesaler, retailer, and marketplace partnerships (primarily Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand)
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with distributors, importers, wholesalers, retailers, and marketplaces in priority markets
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and negotiations through onboarding, outreach, purchase orders, repeat business, and long‑term account growth
- Build and maintain relationships with distributor owners, CEOs, and senior decision‑makers
- Expand business through traditional distribution channels, offline distribution channels, and international e‑commerce and marketplace platforms
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 4–5 international territories while achieving aggressive annual revenue goals
- Hit an annual sales goals of $1.5M+ in Year 1, $3M+ in Year 2, and $5M+ by Year 3
- Collaborate with internal regulatory, quality assurance, operations, and legal teams to support successful international product launches and import/export compliance
- Maintain an active sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and provide regular reporting to leadership
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and strategic partner meetings as needed
- Develop new business independently with minimal oversight while delivering measurable revenue growth
Requirements
- 3+ years of international sales, export sales, or business development experience within dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, food, beauty, consumer packaged goods, or related industries
- Proven track record of generating $1M+ in annual international sales
- Existing relationships with international distributors, importers, wholesalers, retailers, or marketplace operators
- Experience selling branded finished products into Latin American and/or Southeast Asian markets
- Demonstrated success managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting through repeat business
- Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills with executive‑level decision‑makers
- Solid understanding of international distribution, import/export processes, and global market expansion strategies
- Ability to manage multiple countries, accounts, and sales initiatives simultaneously
- Highly self‑motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing distributor relationships in Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, or other Latin American and Southeast Asian markets
- Experience with international e‑commerce marketplaces and regional online platforms
- Knowledge of country‑specific import regulations and compliance requirements
- Multilingual abilities, including Portuguese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Korean, or other relevant languages
- Existing portfolio of distributor relationships capable of generating significant annual revenue
- Southern California‑based, although qualified candidates throughout the U.S. will be considered
