We help clients navigate complex regulatory environments through AI-driven tools and deep local expertise, while advancing Puerto Rico's position as a leading jurisdiction for innovation and investment.About the El Comeback Fellows ProgramThis internship is offered in partnership with ConPRmetidos through its El Comeback Fellows Program, an 8-week paid summer experience designed for college students entering the workforce in Puerto Rico. Fellows work Monday through Thursday with their host employer in a hybrid format, and attend structured professional development Labs on Fridays at Universidad del Sagrado Corazon (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).Position SummaryThe Business & Data Analytics Intern will support DECA Analytics across a range of client-facing and internal initiatives.
This is a hands-on role designed to give the Fellow meaningful exposure to real business challenges, from data analysis and research to consulting support and client relationship management. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to active projects, and present deliverables at the conclusion of the program.
Key ResponsibilitiesData & AnalyticsCollect, clean, and organize datasets to support ongoing client and internal projectsConduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insightsBuild and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Google Sheets, Excel, or other analytics platformsAssist in the interpretation and presentation of analytical findings to internal teamsResearchConduct market, regulatory, and industry research in support of client deliverables and business developmentResearch Puerto Rico and U.S. tax incentives, economic development programs, and relevant legislationSynthesize findings into clear, concise written summaries, memos, and presentationsBusiness OperationsSupport day-to-day operational tasks, including documentation, process tracking, and workflow coordinationAssist in the preparation of internal reports, project plans, and status updatesContribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutionsConsulting & Client-Facing WorkSupport consultants in the preparation of client-facing materials, proposals, and presentationsParticipate in client meetings and internal strategy sessions as an active contributorAssist in the development of recommendations and action plans for clients across industriesBuild professional communication skills through direct interaction with clients and partners
Expected DeliverablesA defined project with clear scope, milestones, and measurable outcomes, agreed upon at the start of the internshipResearch reports, analytical outputs, or client-ready materials produced throughout the 8 weeksA final presentation summarizing project work, key findings, and professional learning at the conclusion of the program
QualificationsRequiredCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Public Policy, or a related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skills in English and/or SpanishProficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft OfficeAbility to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a hybrid environmentGenuine interest in Puerto Rico's economic development, business innovation, or financial servicesPreferredPrior academic or practical exposure to data analysis, financial modeling, or researchFamiliarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or PythonExperience or coursework in consulting, business strategy, or client servicesBilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
