OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on IT & Data Governance Lead to own and manage all internal systems, security, and data governance across our clinics and corporate operations.
This is a single-owner role responsible for ensuring our technology, data, and security environments are well-managed, compliant, and audit-ready - without unnecessary complexity.
You will work closely with operations, medical teams, external vendors, and leadership to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and scalable as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Systems ManagementOwn user access and permissions across all systems (e.g. Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Corporate workspace, CRM, internal tools)Manage joiner / mover / leaver processes across all systemsOversee company devices (laptops, accounts, configurations, security settings)Ensure systems are maintained, updated, and functioning reliablyAct as first point of contact for internal IT issues (hands-on troubleshooting when needed)
Security & Access ControlImplement and maintain access control policies across systemsManage endpoint security (antivirus, device policies, basic hardening)Maintain secure handling of sensitive credentials (e.g. banking, CCTV, admin access)Define and own incident response processes (e.g. lost devices, suspected breaches)Ensure basic security hygiene across the organisation
Data Governance & PrivacyOwn internal data governance practices and documentationEnsure proper handling of client and medical data across systems and workflowsMaintain and improve data protection SOPs and policiesSupport audit readiness for partners and regulatory requirementsAct as internal point of contact for data privacy matters (PDPA/GDPR-aligned practices)
Vendor & Procurement ManagementOwn relationships with IT vendors (e.g. cloud, systems, outsourced IT providers)Manage procurement of devices, software, and subscriptionsMonitor and rationalise software subscriptions and licensesEvaluate vendor performance and ensure cost efficiencyReduce unnecessary reliance on external IT vendors where possible
Clinic & Equipment IT SupportEnsure clinic systems and devices (e.g. diagnostic equipment software, workstations) are properly maintainedManage software updates, backups, and basic troubleshooting for clinic technologyCoordinate with vendors where specialised support is required
Audit & Compliance ReadinessPrepare the organisation for external audits (e.g. B2B partners, ISO27001 readiness)Maintain documentation of systems, access, and security practicesEnsure the company can clearly articulate its data and security posture when required
Requirementsa) 5–10 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or IT/security rolesb) Strong hands-on experience managing:Google Workspace or similar environmentsUser access / identity managementDevices and endpoint securityc) Experience working in a small or mid-sized company as a primary or sole IT ownerd) Exposure to data privacy frameworks (e.g. PDPA, GDPR) and security best practicese) Experience managing external vendors and software/tools environmentsf) Comfortable operating independently and taking ownership across a broad scope
Preferablea) Experience in healthcare, clinics, or regulated environmentsb) Exposure to audit frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, SOC2)c) Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. AWS) at a practical leveld) Working knowledge of full-stack development and how applications are built, deployed, and maintained
