About the Role

The IT Developer is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining software solutions across the company. This role goes beyond writing code. The ideal candidate understands business challenges, proposes technical solutions, moves quickly, and delivers reliable systems that improve operations, performance, and scalability.

The IT Developer will work closely with leadership, operations, product, and marketing teams to identify technical needs, build solutions, and continuously improve company workflows. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, execution-focused, and capable of taking ownership from problem identification to solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications, internal tools, and business systems.
• Build scalable and reliable software solutions that support company growth.
• Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Improve platform performance, stability, and scalability.
• Build integrations between company tools, platforms, and third-party systems.
• Maintain clean, secure, and well-structured code.

AI-Assisted Development

• Use AI development tools such as Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and similar assistants to improve development speed and quality.
• Generate, test, refactor, and optimize code using AI-assisted workflows.
• Accelerate research, debugging, documentation, and implementation through AI tools.
• Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and development workflows.
• Apply AI responsibly while maintaining high standards of code quality, security, and reliability.

Technical Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Operations, Product, Marketing, and Leadership teams.
• Translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Participate in planning, development, and technical discussions.
• Communicate clearly about project progress, blockers, timelines, and proposed solutions.
• Ensure development efforts remain aligned with company priorities and business objectives.

Execution & Problem Solving

• Move quickly from identifying problems to delivering effective solutions.
• Prioritize practical execution over unnecessary complexity.
• Take full ownership of technical challenges until they are resolved.
• Continuously improve systems, tools, workflows, and internal processes.
• Identify automation opportunities that reduce manual work and increase operational efficiency.
• Deliver high-quality development projects on time.

Technology & Systems

• Build reliable, scalable software solutions.
• Improve company efficiency through automation and better technology.
• Support the growth of the company's ecommerce brands through strong technical execution.
• Reduce repetitive manual work using integrations and automation.
• Help the business move faster by implementing modern development practices and AI-powered workflows.
• Maintain high standards for security, code quality, and system performance.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and modern web technologies.
• Experience using AI development tools such as:
• Codex
• Cursor
• GitHub Copilot
• Claude Code
• Or similar AI coding assistants
• Ability to execute independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in ecommerce, automation, systems, and technology-driven businesses.

Communication & Work Style

• English proficiency: B2 level or higher (required).
• Strong written and verbal communication in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable providing updates on progress, timelines, blockers, and technical decisions.

Compensation & Growth

Salary

• USD $24,000 – $30,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
