Role Description
Labcorp is seeking an IT Project Manager II to join our team in a hybrid role in Burlington or Durham, North Carolina, or US remote.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours.
Job Responsibilities:- Coordinating and managing EDI New Development & Certification Interface projects and beta client implementation tasks
- Developing and maintaining project plans, identifying and securing resources for implementation
- Monitoring project milestones and resources, ensuring timely delivery and escalating issues when necessary
- Coordinating activities and ensuring effective communication with project stakeholders
- Tracking project schedules, reporting on progress, and taking corrective action as needed
- Managing, prioritizing, and escalating all tasks associated with complex Health System/Client interface project implementations
- Supporting efforts to improve project implementation turnaround time
- Serving as Subject Matter Expert for an assigned vendor
- Basic and foundational technical understanding of New Development and Specifications
- Hosting of strategic and professional meetings over the phone using WebEx software
- Maintaining high-quality project documentation in Solutions Business Manager (SBM) workflow software
Qualifications
- Associates degree OR 3 or more years of experience in project management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Current or previous Labcorp experience
- 5 or more years of experience working within a Healthcare IT environment
- PMP certification
- Demonstrated project management skills and abilities, with ability to lead multi-disciplined and cross-functional teams
- Ability to motivate others to apply critical thinking skills and techniques, facilitate group interactions, and mediate conflict as needed
- Solid understanding of business needs, with ability to establish and maintain customer trust and confidence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
ability to present and explain technical information clearly to diverse audiences - Effective teamwork and people skills with all employee levels
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Skilled in managing customer expectations and delivering consistent results
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and support problem resolution
- Previous experience implementing LIS Applications within an enterprise environment
- Direct project management experience in all phases of interface implementation – Workflow, Connectivity, Build, Test, Validation, Post Live Support
- Working knowledge of risk management skills to include identification, escalation, and facilitation of mitigation/creative solutions
- Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Copilot, and OneNote
